Nutrition Response Testing®

Nutrition Response Testing® is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the underlying causes of ill health.  When these are corrected through safe, natural, nutritional means, the body can repair itself in order to attain and maintain more optimum health.  The purpose of Nutrition Response Testing® is to build the overall foundation of health.  As your foundation of health is built, the body heals.

The analysis is done through testing the body's own nervous system. The neurological reflexes are derived from the part of the nervous system that regulates the functions of each and every organ.  These neurological reflexes have been used by healing practitioners for thousands of years.

Through our analysis of your body's organs and areas, we help determine the exact nutrients your body needs to supplement your diet and bring about balance and better health.

Do you have one or more health conditions that just won't go away?  Have you seen other doctors - even alternative care providers - and gotten little or no result?  Are there health conditions that are significantly impacting your life?  Are you ready to do something about it?  If so, we can help!

Chiropractic Care

Every living cell, tissue, organ and system of your body works because nerves tell them to.

If you interfere with the vital flow of information from the nerves to the cell or organ, dysfunction will occur and health will be lost.

A common cause of interference is in the spinal bones that protect the nerves.  When these spinal bones become misaligned, it is called a "subluxation".

Subluxations may not be painful at first and can accumulate over time due to stress, falls, sports, accidents, heavy work, etc.

Doctors of Chiropractic are the only health care practitioners specifically trained to locate and correct subluxations.  We correct subluxation by using spinal manipulation, also called a spinal adjustment.  By gently moving the spinal bones by hand to relieve pressure, your chiropractor is unraveling the root cause of your illness.

Once subluxations are relieved, the body begins to repair itself and health is restored.  Pain is usually decreased, ranges of motion generally improve and patients feel better.

Proper health requires periodic spinal hygiene by getting spinal check-ups and adjustments, much like oral hygiene requires regular brushing and cleaning.

Do you suffer with headaches?  Neck or upper back pain? Low back pain, leg pain/numbness or arm pain/numbness?  If so, call us today for your FREE Consultation with the Doctor to see if Chiropractic care is right for you.  501-842-1004.

Exercise

Exercise is an important part of any health care program.  We will help you find the right exercise at the right intensity just right for you.  We offer recommendations for stretching and flexibility exercises as well as strengthening and cardiovascular exercises.

Three Types of Exercise:

1. Cardiovascular.  If you are not currently doing some type of regular exercise, start with walking.  15-20 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week is all you need.  You don't have to be too concerned with how fast you walk or how far - at least not in the beginning.  Just start walking and start getting into the habit.  We have a great handout in the office - "Starting a Walking Program" - that we are happy to share with you.

2. Stretching Exercises.  Stretching is also very important.  Many back and neck problems involve tight, spastic muscles.   We spend too much time in cars, at the desk, on the couch or on the computer.  As we do, the muscles shorten and become tight.  Muscles need to be stretched in order to stay flexible.  Stretching exercises often seem boring and few want to make time for them but they are perhaps the most important type of exercise to do.  As we get older, it becomes even more important to stretch.  Ask us for a handout on Spinal Stretching and Flexibility exercises.

3. Strengthening Exercises.  It is important to maintain and build muscle strength with some sort of resistance training.  You can go to the gym and lift weights and/or workout on the machines but you can also do simple things at home.  Push-ups (regular or modified) will build upper body strength.  Sit-ups and crunches work to strengthen the core and walking lunges or squats will build your thigh, hip and butt muscles.  (By the way, walking also works to strengthen the legs!)

Stress Management

Stress Management is another vital role in building and maintaining good health.  Stress management can include relaxation exercises that calm the mind and body, tips on developing and maintaining a positive attitude or the use of meditation.  We strive to meet the individual needs of each patient.
