Twenty Years of Practice, Twenty Years of Personal Commitment

This year marks a special milestone for me. On May 1st, I celebrated 20 years of practice in England, Arkansas. Thank you!

But there is another anniversary that means just as much to me personally.

This year also marks 20 years that I have been taking Standard Process nutritional supplements on an almost daily basis.

I started taking Standard Process supplements to help with acute diverticulitis. I had been diagnosed in 2003 after an acute episode that required emergency surgery. I had regular flare-ups over the next 2-3 years. In 2006, Dr. Michaels, my nutritionist and chiropractor, prescribed specific Standard Process supplements and I immediately started feeling better. My flare-ups completely stopped. In June 2006, I attended my first class to learn more about whole-food supplements and Standard Process. There was a lot to learn but it’s been worth it. I continue to be amazed at the results we see in the office from these supplements.

Over the years, there have been many nutritional products that have come and gone. Some were heavily marketed and advertised. Some promised amazing results. Others followed the latest trends in the supplement industry.

Standard Process has always been different. Founded in 1929, they have been committed to providing only the highest quality, whole-food organic supplements.

Some people today question whether we need supplements. In my mind, there is no question. Yes, we need them. The standard American diet does not give us what we need when it comes to nutrition. As we get older, I believe supplementation becomes even more important. Most diseases today are diseases of nutritional deficiency.

I recently attended a Professional Series Education weekend on the Standard Process farm in Palmyra, WI. I loved touring the farm and getting to see first hand the care and attention that goes into making these products. Here are a few photos of my trip.
